Ammonite: Petal of the Deep - hand-printed lino print on monoprinted background
A one-of-a-kind artwork featuring an ammonite design, hand-carved in traditional brown lino and printed in ivory black Caligo Safewash ink. For this series, each background has been created using gelliprinting—a monoprinting process that builds organic texture and subtle depth.
For Petal of the Deep, I layered magenta and violet with subtle golden flecks that catch the light like sunlight drifting through deep water. The surface carries a soft luminosity—petal shapes and echoes of sediment emerging through layered colour. A quiet piece that blooms in stillness.
Printed on A4 heavyweight recycled cartridge paper. Individually signed and dated (KH 25). This piece is unique—no two are the same.
Available now to pre-order and will be shipped w/c 21 April 2025 as they are still drying. Your print will be safely packed in a cello bag, supported by cardboard, and sent in a board backed envelope to keep it safe in transit. UK delivery is included via Royal Mail tracked 48. International delivery is via Royal Mail International Tracked and the price reflects the difference between UK and international, so you still get the equivalent of the UK free shipping!
✨ Energetic Note:
This print carries the frequency of emergence. It speaks of beauty long hidden, gently unfolding from silence. May it remind you that even the quietest parts of you are becoming something radiant.
